The XIII International Symposium on Genetic Resources for the Americas and the Caribbean in Colombia
The Colombian Corporation for Agricultural Research AGROSAVIA, the National University of Colombia (Faculty of Agrarian Sciences headquarters Bogotá) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, three of the institutions with the greatest commitment and work in the conservation and sustainable use of this genetic heritage in a megadiverse country like Colombia, welcome all of you and invite you to separate in your agenda the 30th of November and 1, 2 and 3 December 2021, and let’s celebrate the XIII SIRGEAC Colombia, with the motto “Agrobiodiversity, a world of opportunities in times of crisis”.
The International Symposium on Genetic Resources for the Americas and the Caribbean (SIRGEAC) is the most important biennial meeting for all researchers, scientists, technicians, students and those interested in agrobiodiversity at the continental level. Genetic resources for food and agriculture are the axes of this meeting that for the first time is held in Colombia, but given the current health situation, its development will be 100% virtual on a platform specifically designed for this type of event.
